The 2006 season started up good. We played a friendly against brazil wich we tied 1-1. Then we played mighty Argentina which we beat 3-2. But then world cup 2006 started. I was confident with croatias team and I thought we could of atleast make through the first round.

The first match started against brazil, I knew croatia might lose that game since we were playing Brazil. But for some reason I belived that we should of beat them because they didnt play at their fullest potential.

The second game against Japan was crazy. Croatias Srna, missed a penalty and therefore we didnt make it to the next round. I furmley thought that we were going to beat the Japanese. But We had no luck. We were the better team, but sometimes that is soccer.

The third game started. Croatia vs Australia! I was already clebrating a win against them. But for some strange reason, my Beloved croatia was defending way too much. And I think that is the reason why we didnt make it through the next round. It was very dissapointing since we only lost one game against brazil. The odds to make it through was on our side the whole time. But strange things happen.

If Croatia made it through, we would of played Italy. I know italy is Croatias favorite opponent because they cannot beat us.

He are the ups of the 2006 season. Croatia after the world cup didnt sit down and relax. Instead they beat World Cup Champs Italy 2-0. And Started a great Euro2008 Campaign with new coach, Former international player of the golden Generation Slaven Bilic. Slaven Bilic immediatly made changes, and risky once. I didnt agree too much with the coach, but now he has my trust. Bringing Petric, Corluka, and Eduardo Da Silva(Dudu) to the team. Many Croatians now belive we have something special, after we beat Soccer Powerhouse England 2-0. Croatia is now 1st in their table, and promises to keep doing good. If we fail to Qualify for some reason. This would be sad chapter in Croatia soccer career and history.
